ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø District Announces Dates for Meet & Greet Events and New ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Orientations
ºÚÁϳԹÏÍøs in the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø District will return for the 2024-2025 school year on Wednesday, July 31. To help prepare students and their families for the new school year, elementary and middle schools have scheduled Meet and Greet events to give families an opportunity to meet the teachers and see their classroom. High schools have also scheduled orientations for incoming freshmen and any other new students.
Houston Virtual will communicate directly with parents regarding dates, times and links for Virtual Meet and Greets.
Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) ºÚÁϳԹÏÍøs Announced for the 2024-2025 ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Year
ºÚÁϳԹÏÍøs at 31 school sites in Houston County will receive meals at no cost during the 2024-2025 school year. The Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), implemented and funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), allows approved schools to provide meals to all enrolled students at no charge, regardless of economic status.
ºÚÁϳԹÏÍøs enrolled in CEP schools can receive meals at no cost without having to pay a fee or submit a Free and Reduced Meal Application. No action is required on the part of a child, parent, or guardian.
